The practice operates a full telephone triage system. When you call the practice you will be asked for a brief amount of information about the nature of the issue by our highly trained care coordinators. This is to ensure that you are directed to the right person to deal with your issue which may not necessarily be a GP.
If a call back from a clinician (GP/nurse practitioner/practice nurse/physiotherapist) is appropriate, the care coordinator will ensure we have your contact telephone number and put a message in for the clinician to call you back. Please ensure that you are available to take the call. If you do not have a phone, please come to reception.
As part of our commitment to providing good service we would encourage you to ask for the same doctor where possible, particularly if it is for an ongoing problem.
The practice can arrange an interpreter for both telephone calls and appointments if required. Please inform the care coordinator of the language that is required at the time of booking.
Our telephone lines are extremely busy, particularly first thing in the morning. If your call is not urgent please try and avoid calling at this time. All test results should be requested after 12 noon.
We now offer the possibility of a video appointment with a clinician where this is appropriate.
The nursing team have an appointment system, but also aim to be flexible and opportunistic in the care they offer, providing a wide range of services to all age groups. When ringing for an appointment, please let the care coordinator know why you are attending so that you can be allocated to the appropriate nurse or health care assistant to deal with your problem.

Practices can be busy places and our staff try hard to accommodate our patients – in return we ask that you behave in a polite and considerate manner. To help the practice run smoothly and ensure that patients are seen at the right time, please attend your appointment on time, and if you are not able to attend please let us know as soon as possible so the appointment can be used by someone else who needs it.
