Please ring to make an appointment with any of the doctors
We also have late evening appointments on a Monday or Tuesday until 7.30 pm. If it is more convenient for you to come later in the day please ask the receptionist for one of these appointments.
Telephone Appointments
Many problems can be solved by discussion over the telephone with a member of the practice team. This can often save you a visit to the surgery. The receptionist may offer you a telephone appointment with the doctor rather than a face-to-face appointment. If you feel your problem could be dealt with over the telephone rather than attending surgery, please mention this to the receptionist when you ring. Requests to speak to a doctor must be made before 12 noon, unless you wish to book it for another day. Phone calls should only be requested after 12 noon if the problem is urgent for that day and cannot wait until the following day.
For other problems nurses or health visitors should be able to speak to you directly if you leave your contact number with the receptionist. The receptionists themselves are often able to give you the information you require.
Appointments with a Nurse
The nursing team have an appointment system, but also aim to be flexible and opportunistic in the care they offer, providing a wide range of services to all age groups.
When ringing for an appointment, please let the receptionist know why you are attending as this will enable her to allocate you the appropriate nurse to deal with your problem.
If you are coming for a blood test you can pop in and see one of the health care assistants who are available each morning between 8.30 am and 12.30 pm.
